I just realized that the first Daily English Diary I made yesterday was a page and not a post. That is ok. Mistakes happen in life.

“Mistakes happen in life.”

When I was young, mistakes would make me so angry. It would ruin my day. I would think negatively about everything around me because I was annoyed. I would also think negatively about myself. I felt like a failure. That negativity would steal the day from me. I think it also removed a lot of opportunities in my life for fun and happiness.

Now that I am older (not old haha), I realize my mistake wasn’t the mistake. My real mistake was that I let something ruin my mind for a day. I let that anger steal my time, stress my mind and take away opportunities.

I find that these mistakes can lead to new opportunities more often than not. Like today for instance. My mistake lead to this new daily English diary entry. It lead to me talking to you today. It also lead me to see that the mistake wasn’t that big of a deal. For example, making this daily English diary as a “post” makes it easier to share with my students. I can add more pictures.

Bob Ross: No Mistakes Just Happy Accidents

I hope all the happy accidents that happen today lead you to more opportunities too. You just read this in English and you are writing your own daily English diary too, so you have started the day off productive.

Wow, this my day was very hard. The one part of my family was with us, so we were ten in total. They came for lunch, and we were together for the whole afternoon. This was very good, and I was glad, a lot, because this was the first occasion, then we saw each other personally after the virus. So far we only talked on Skype. So it was very good, but I am tired a bit. I had to cook, and three small grandchildren also were here, one of them is one and a half years old. I played a lot with her, and I’m not twenty years old, already. So, today was very nice, but tiring.

    1. I am very happy that your family was able to visit. That is one thing that I miss. My family is all away from me. I live alone here in China while I work to support everyone. It gets lonely. I am so happy that you could connect with them.
