PhPhonics for Adults Level 5 Lesson 2 Vowel Pairs Long O Sound Read Along Story

This will be a fun phonics lesson for adults to help you learn American English pronunciation.

Today we will do lesson 2 in the Level 5 Adult Phonics series. We will learn the vowel pair OA and the long O sound.

I will teach you how to correctly pronounce words Boat, Coat, Goat, Road, Soap, and Toast in an English accent. We will learn the long vowel O sound with the vowel and consonant pair OW.

I will teach you how to correctly pronounce the words Yellow, Pillow, Window, Blow, Snow, and Bowl in an American English accent. The long vowel O sound is made by combining two vowels to create the sound.

I don’t want you to worry about grammar rules for long vowels. I just want you to start to notice the patterns for spelling.

I want you to focus on reading and pronouncing the sounds correctly. That is the most important part. This is how a native English speaker learns to read and speak. And you can too.
