Missed it again… I came to China in 2019 shortly after the Dragon Boat Festival.

Team races in a traditional Dragon Boat Festival race.

Thanks to the virus, the events in my city are canceled this year. This is the second time I have missed the race now. I want to take my camera out and enjoy my hobby of photography but I just can’t seem to make it to events. My camera sits lonely on the shelf and looks at me.

But just because the holiday events are canceled, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy my day. There are always things that we can do with out time that make us happy. Tonight I will visit a part of the city I have never gone to before and grab some food. It will be nice. I know it will be fun because I have told myself I will have fun. A missed opportunity can easily turn into another opportunity faster than we can expect.

  1. Saturday I went with my husband, daughter, and her family, at a restaurant. We had lunch together, and we celebrated my granddaughter. She got a second degree in BME. (It is a university in Budapest) She is a Master of Cognitive Neuroscience. She is originally a biologist. I am proud of her, a lot. So we spent the afternoon together. We have a nice time.

    1. Wow that is impressive. Congrats to your granddaughter. I really like neuroscience and enjoy biohacking. I have been creating my own nootropic blends for years. I am sure that she could easily explain that to you one day if you ask her. The fact that she has a degree in Biology is awesome too. I bet she is researching Fungi for its cognitive effects on people. I think I would enjoy talking to your granddaughter since we enjoy similar ideas. She deserves that lunch with you and I am happy that you had the chance to get together.
