Phonics for Adults Level 4 Lesson 7 Initial and Final Consonants SH CH Reading

This will be a fun phonics lesson for adults to help you learn American English pronunciation.

Today we will do lesson 7 in the Level 4 Adult Phonics series. We will learn the consonant pair SH.

I will teach you how to correctly pronounce the beginning SH sound and the words Ship, Shape, and Shop in an American English accent.

I will teach you how to correctly pronounce the ending SH sound and the words Fish, Brush, and Flash in an American English accent. We will learn the consonant pair CH.

I will teach you how to correctly pronounce the initial CH sound and the words Chick, Cherry, and Chin in an American English accent.

I will teach you how to correctly pronounce the ending CH sound and the words Bench, Branch, and Catch in an American English accent. I will teach you how to sound out words. I also have IPA pronunciation to help you pronounce the sounds.

Let’s learn how to read instead of memorizing the IPA sounds. I want you to learn how to truly read without the IPA, but it is there to help you.
